The original forum went through plenty of stages and characters; sometimes it was fun, other times it got… INTERESTING and I played a big part in that and have regrets now, but even regret is a good teacher. Certainly, the original intent was to provide an inclusive space for everyone who was a fan, and that never truly went away, even if it took a backseat at times. It feels like the vibe when people first joined and that’s like coming full circle. I can only wish and hope that everyone coming back in here has been doing well and enjoying themselves.

@Mayhem - Joined us in 2008, and as I said above, one of the last times he was seen on the forums was in a 2020 necropost on an old 2014 thread about a contest that never happened. It gave me a much needed laugh at the time.

@syaoran2001 - OF COURSE I remember you! You were one of earliest members of the original forums (CnDO Class of 2006), and one of the people I mentioned in the old “Who Do You Miss” thread. In fact, when I listed the names of “the old regulars” that I missed, your name was the first one I mentioned.
@pupspals - Yet another name that I was pleasantly surprised to see. Pupspals originally joined the forums in 2008, was a professional participant in the talent contests that actually did happen (unlike the one ModernTimes was interested in), and like Owlor and Zanzibar, disappeared in 2013. It’s so good to see your name here- I’m looking forward to seeing you post. 
@Scifire - THIS is the name that made me audibly gasp. After I recovered from the initial shock, I took a screen shot of the notification and sent it to Light in a text message at nearly 3 in the morning because I couldn’t contain the excitement I felt seeing that he’d returned. Scifire, aka Scifly, was one of the first three people to join the original boards. One of the OGs.
Those are such kind words. Thank you! And thank you for all you did to help me in those early years. It is SO good to see you again.

Always happy to join some RR goodness. Even if my active phase in the fandom really ended in… 2004ish? Man, I’m getting old.
Nowadays I maybe check in on stuff once a year or so, unless something brings my attention back to it. Such as the invite to this thing. (Which I first suspected to be some Really well targeted spam, hah! You never know.)
I did make sure to watch the entire show again on Disney+ once it was available. Was nice to see it with great image quality. Still a way better show than Duck Tales.

Is putin a member of that russian Gadget cult I only learned of yesterday? I actually knew your emails weren’t spam but the program I use to receive emails flagged your second one as spam as I was reading it and then shunted it into purgatory for five minutes while the rest of my mail came in.
Trying to remember how far back that’s from kind of makes me feel old.

Thanks Ducky, glad I’m not forgotten to time. Lots of familiar names coming back. At some point as Light mentioned, the forums became rather interesting. I gravitated towards CnDO as a haven from the cult-like Acorn Cafe and their bullshit “don’t say gay” policies. Things were a lot more easy going here and Ducky made it feel more like a group of good friends rather than a group of weird fanatics who shared a common interest in a 20 year old (now over 30 year old) children’s cartoon. One of the things that made me feel more at home was how inclusive the place was and continues to be.
On that note, I’m also in the questioning my gender/exploring different modes of gender expression camp, so it looks like I’m in good company. Please use they/them pronouns for me.
