I managed to track down some more old chat logs, and whether we wanted to or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars.

Wait, no, that’s not right. Whether you want it or not, I’m going to share some of those logs here.

Wow, these are great, I don’t remember any of them, but they’re all pretty much the type of antics I remember.

It’s a Homestar Runner reference. Strongbad was playing an old text based PC adventure game and the options for exits were “east” and “Duncan.” When you entered with your LARGE STACK OF PAPERS it reminded me of text based adventure which made me think of that. The stack of papers was capitalized because it’s obviously an ITEM that can be added to your INVENTORY.

I used to play text based adventure games so that’s absolutely what I was doing, but reading this 12 years later, the Duncan thing seemed so hilariously random.

I really miss those days. It felt like we were sitting on the floor in a room together, keeping ourselves entertained with whatever we could find. It’s funny how I’d forgotten all about these early chats, but now that I’ve read them again, I’m feeling so much nostalgia.
